The Church in Sevettijärvi, Finnish Lapland

Sevettijärvi is a village in the Inari municipality in the most northern part of Finland. The village was founded in 1949 and the inhabitants, now about 400, are people evacuated from Petsamo after the second world war, and their children of course.

The Church in Sevettijärvi was planned by architect Ole Albet Gottleben, and was build at the same time as the village was founded. This church belongs to the Greek Ortodox Parish in Lapland.
